Your local Chadsmead Conservative Councillors, Mike Fryers and Terry Thomas met and talked to local people at this event. Councillors from neighbouring Curborough and Stowe Wards were also in attendance
Lichfield District Council Countryside Team, the North Lichfield Initiative and local wildlife groups had invited everyone to a fun day and consultation event at Christian Fields to see this site, a former landfill that has developed naturally and is set to become Lichfield District's first
Local Nature Reserve.
The day was full of activities for all the family who could take part in the nature treasure trail and have their faces painted like their favourite animals, look for spring's first butterflies or go on a bird walk. It provided an opportunity for people to tell how they used the area and share their ideas for its future management, perhaps being involved in a new volunteer group looking after the site.
